Kansas City, MO , December 10, 2013 — NextPage, a merger of Mail Print, Graphic Services, and L&L Manufacturing, is pleased to announce the acquisition of the Komori Lithrone G40 40” 8 color printing press. This latest equipment addition rounds out an equipment mix that provides NextPage clients with the most advanced print facility in the region.

The Komori press introduces an exciting new concept in printing to the area, “Offset On Demand”. NextPage CEO Gina Danner explains the concept. “Offset on Demand is a revolutionary process that offers a unique combination of the highest print quality and the greenest printing process available today. With shorter setup times, less paper waste and reduced printing time due to the Komori’s high speed capability, this press will provide print buyers with unsurpassed productivity and environmental efficiency.”

The Komori Lithrone press uses approximately 35% less energy to produce a print project along with reduced waste. The nearly $3 million investment is the latest in a string of technology and expansion investments for the company. “Offset on Demand”, coined by Komori with the introduction of this press, is a new solution that is good for the environment and good for business at the same time. The 40” press can run up to a maximum speed of 16,500 sheets per hour while maintaining outstanding print quality. This game changing press is one of only three in North America and is fully operational at NextPage’s Kansas City facility.

“We believe in the value of print. The evolution of NextPage from the merger of the three companies, to the recent space expansion, staff expansion and now the addition of the 8 color press, proves that we know how to provide that value.” Danner further explains, “Marketing organizations have pushed hard into the digital space over the last few years but many consumers are more guarded than ever with their digital communication. Print is proving to be an integral part of a well thought out multi-channel marketing approach. Opportunities to combine print and digital are more plentiful than ever before and that combination offers marketing organizations the opportunity to meet the consumer right where they are.”
