Pantone® is the hands down world leader in defining color. They design and publish color charts and mix methodologies for the graphics, design, and fashion industries. Their systems allow manufacturers to produce the desired color on a repeatable basis.

For the last 15 years, Pantone has announced a “color of the year.” This year that color is Marsala, “a naturally robust and earthy wine red.” The color has been shown on the fashion runways for the spring 2015 collection and is making its appearance in corporate colors as well. You are likely to see the color in packaging. The color draws in consumers.

For the graphic arts industry, Marsala is referenced as Pantone 7523 as the closest match. Formulas for the color are located here.
